Bhutan is a tiny country tucked high up in the Himalayas in between the Tibet Autonomous Region of China and India. ‘The Land of Thunder Dragon’ offers spectacular natural scenery, majestic Himalayan panorama, unique Buddhist culture and tradition, ancient dzong fortress, temples, monasteries. People in Bhutan are the happiest people in the world thus it’s also called ‘Land of Happiness’. Bhutan is the only Vajrayana Buddhist nation in the world. Guru Padmasambhava also known as Guru Rinpoche and 8th-century Buddhist master, introduced Buddhism in Bhutan. Due to its untouched environment and harmonious society, the Kingdom of Bhutan is also considered as ‘The Last Shangrila’.
